Abstract Background: Red betel leaf (P. crocatum Ruiz & Pav) possesses antibacterial properties, so the prospect is to be developed as a deodorant in lotion dosage forms. Objective: This study was conducted with intention prepare, evaluate, and investigate stability of preparations from ethanolic extract red based on stearic acid. Methods: The maceration method used 70% ethanol solvent obtain extract. Furthermore, concentrated formulated formula into three formulas, FI, FII, FIII, varying concentrations acid 2, 4, 6%, respectively. All formulas were evaluated, their characteristics organoleptic, pH, homogeneity, viscosity, spreadability, adhesion, irritation properties. physical test done by cycling test. storage evaluated for 28 days. Results: Evaluation properties days showed that homogeneous pH range 5.5-6.4; adhesion tests gave good results stability. In test, all no irritation. Statistical paired T-test testing during best most stable F3 6% concentration. Conclusion: Ethanolic can preparation storage. Keywords: lotion, Piper Pav,
